Roger was born and raised in the East Springfield section of Springfield. He attended Springfield parochial schools, and graduated from Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical High School. Roger attended Springfield Technical Community College and received his Associates Degree in Applied Science/Mortuary Science from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He is a member of the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce. Roger enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing golf. Roger also enjoys officiating ice hockey. He is a registered ice hockey official with USA Hockey, NIOHA, and ECAC. Roger was employed by the Forastiere Family Funeral Homes for eight years prior to his appointment as a Managing Partner in October 2008. “During a difficult time, assisting and guiding a family with the planning of a personalized celebration of life for their loved one is most rewarding.” Roger and his wife Lynn have two children, Lauren and Roger Jr.

Mary V. Koch, Licensed Funeral DirectorMary Koch graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School in 1990. She received a diploma in Mortuary Science in 1993 from Mount Ida College and received an Associate Degree in Science from Holyoke Community College in 1994. Mary graduated from Baystate Medical School of Nursing in 1998 where she received her R.N. She started her funeral service career with the Messier Funeral Home in 1994 and became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1996. She continues to stay active in the community. She is a communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke and has served in the past as Ambassador for the Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of Quota International of Holyoke where she has served as Board of Director and Treasurer. She also chaired two of Quota’s Annual Fundraiser’s. Mary and her fiancee, John Rodriguez, live in Holyoke and they have two children, Nicholas and Addison.
