Donald L. Bledsoe Sr.                                                                   1934-2011 SPRINGFIELD- Donald L. Bledsoe Sr., 77, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011. He was born on April 15, 1934 in Barboursville, WV a son of the late Edgar J. and Madge (Jefferson) Bledsoe. Donald was a Korean Conflict veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1959 and obtaining the rank of A/2C. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0275 in Chicopee Falls. Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by a daughter, Vanda L. Garcia in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Vanda G. (Norman) Bledsoe; three children, Donald L. Bledsoe Jr., Karen L. Dearing, both of Springfield, and Jarrell L. Bledsoe of Chicopee; six grandchildren, Damian, Desiree, Donald III, David, Shelby, and Griffon; and a brother, Bill Bledsoe of Indiana. Funeral services for Donald were private.
