CHICOPEE-Alex J. Larkin of Chicopee passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening in Holyoke. His life was abruptly cut short at the tender age of 25, the innocent victim of a senseless crime. Alex was born in Springfield on December 17, 1996, a loving son of Mary Lou Burgeson and Thomas J. Larkin. He was raised in Chicopee, attending local schools including Chicopee Comp. He enjoyed playing soccer and refereed youth soccer while in High School. Alex worked for various construction companies in the area while awaiting his appointment to the local Carpenters union. Alex enjoyed being outside, with family and friends, no matter what the activity. He loved dirt biking and especially loved cars. He leaves his beloved parents; Mary Lou Burgeson and Thomas J. Larkin. His siblings; Anthony Burgeson and Kayla Larkin. His uncles; Burge, Tommy and Michael. His Aunts; Magee, Leslie and Nery. His maternal grandmother, Mary and paternal grandmother, Maureen. His nephews; William and Nathan. He also leaves many cousins including; Thomas, Ryan, Patrick, Jeffrey, Kurtis, Gaby, Kyle, Tom Jr., Jessica, Daniel and many more members of the extended Larkin family.
THE FAMILY WILL GATHER TO RECEIVE FRIENDS AND REMEMBER ALEX ON FRIDAY, SEP. 9, 2022 FROM 4:00 TO 7:00 P.M. AT TYLUNAS FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 159 BROADWAY ST., CHICOPEE. FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO MEET DIRECTLY AT STE. ROSE DE LIMA CHURCH, 600 GRATTAN ST., ALDENVILLE ON SATURDAY, SEP. 10, 2022 AT 10:00 A.M. FOR THE LITURGY OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL FOR ALEX.
Interment will be at a private ceremony at a later date.
