Alice L Grimard

Alice L. Grimard 1924-2007 SPRINGFIELD- Alice Louise (Misisco) Grimard, 82, died peacefully, August 2, 2007 at Country Estates of  Agawam; where she was lovingly cared for by family and caregivers.  With greatful hearts her family will remember her steadfast love, kindness and grace.  Mrs. Grimard was born in Springfield, a daughter, of the late Luigi and Rose (Yacovone) Misisco and was a life long resident. She retired as assistant supervisor from Credit Bureau Inc., Springfield in 1987. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Springfield.  She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Grimard Sr. , whom she married on August 19,1950; a son, Richard A. Grimard Jr. and his wife Dianne , of Vacaville, Ca.; a daughter, Laura G.  VanMourik, of Annapolis, Md.; 5 sisters, Mary Fiorentino and her husband , Michael  of Springfield, Lena Gentile of Agawam, Ann Italiano and her husband, Joseph of East Longmeadow, Christina Polumbo and her husband, Angelo of Agawam, Virginia Ingram and her husband, Harry of Springfield; 3 grandchildren, David VanMourik and his wife, Jaime of Silver Spring, Md., Amy VanMourik of Pasadena,Md., and Alan Grimard and his fiancé, Catherine Salmon of  Vacaville, Ca.  She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Gagne, and 2  brothers- in -law  Frank Gagne and Anthony Gentile; and her brother, and sister- in- law Philip and Virginia Misisco. Funeral services will be held on Monday 10:00 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated, in St. Mary's Church, 840 Page Boulevard, East Springfield at 11:00  a.m.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Tinkham Road, Springfield.  A calling hour will be held on Monday, from 9:00 am until time of service.  For those who prefer, memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society, 69 Bobala Rd., Holyoke, Ma. 01104 or to Noble V.N.A. and Hospice, 77 Mill St., Suite 201, Westfield, Ma. 01085.
