Alice Lorraine Houle

Alice Lorraine (LaPerle) Houle, 89, beloved wife of 50 years of Homer Houle Sr., who predeceased her, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. Born on March 5, 1928, in Chicopee, MA, a daughter of Henry and Marie (Turgeon) LaPerle, she was a longtime resident of Chicopee. Alice was a seamstress for many years, most recently at Century Uniform and she was a longtime parishioner at St. Patrick's Church both in Chicopee. Alice was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt. She leaves behind her loving children and their spouses, Madeleine (Barry) Rowland, Homer Jr. (Linda), Robert (Roxanna), Gerard (Darlene), and Richard Houle; 5 adored grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters; several nieces and nephews. A period of visitation will be held for Alice on Wednesday, April 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., followed by a service celebrating her life at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
