Alma M. Senechal1915-2015Chicopee-Alma M. (Danis) Senechal, 99, of Chicopee, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Holyoke Medical Center. Born in Fall River, MA on September 3, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Maria (Chagnon) Danis. Alma attended Fall River Schools and worked as an assembler for Fletcher Terry Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1997. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church and was a member of Women of the Moose in Fall River and the Golden Agers in Springfield. Alma was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Aime Senechal, in 1991. She leaves her daughter, Carolyn Correa of Chicopee; her brother, Raymond Danis and his wife Dina of Raynham, MA; her sister, Helena Smith of Fall River; her grandson, James Correa and his partner Caroline Ranger; her great-granddaughter, Kari Mongeau; her great-great grandson, Isiah Mongeau;  her special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Bigda; and her Saturday night church group. Alma was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Danis and her sister Dolores Savard. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of Wingate at South Hadley for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 8:45a at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10a in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd, Springfield. Rites of Committal will take place on Thursday, February 12th at 11a in Notre Dame Cemetery, 1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February, 10th from 4-6p.
