Angeline M. Lajeunesse

March 14, 1923 — December 8, 2020

Angeline M. Lajeunesse, 97, of Czepiel St. in Chicopee passed away on Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by family. Angie was born in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Robak) Czerkiewicz. Angie married Louis A. Lajeunesse on September 26, 1942 and they settled in Chicopee to raise their family.  Angie worked for Savage Arms during the War and later as a clerk for Polish National Credit Union and finally retired from Lambert-Lavoie Elementary School in the cafeteria.

Angie leaves her beloved husband of 78 years, Louis A. Lajeunesse. Her devoted children; Beverly Nowak of Chicopee, Linda Root and her husband Dr. Stephen Root of Ludlow, David Lajeunesse of Feeding Hills and Alan Lajeunesse and his wife Milé of West Springfield. Her cherished grandchildren; Dr. Christopher Root, Jeremy Root, Tonya Nowak-Alberti, Erika Nowak-Hayslip, Gregory, Adam and Derek Lajeunesse, Aaron Welsh and Danielle Welsh-Bernal, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Angie was predeceased by all her siblings.

The family invites you to join them on Thursday, Dec, 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. directly at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam for the Catholic Rites of Interment. (Service starts promptly at 11:00 a.m., please arrive no later than 10:50 a.m.) There are no calling hours and donations may be made to Ste. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA. 01020
