Anita M. Fagan 1911-2004 SPRINGFIELD- Anita M. (Belli) Fagan, 93, of Springfield died on Monday morning October 11, 2004 in a local nursing home. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam, and previously was employed at the Montphere Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and at the former Springfield Hospital. She also was a head nurse in the Obstetrics Department of Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born in Wilbraham on March 27, 1911 a beloved daughter of the late Santi and Anunciata (Fioranni) Belli. She received her nursing degree from the Farren Memorial Nursing School in Montague where she graduated third in her class. She was a member of the Civic Center Senior Club in Springfield and the Springfield Hobby Club. Her beloved husband, Richard D. Fagan died in 1980. Anita leaves her loving daughters, Patricia Burke of Lancaster, NY, Barbara Ohannes of Carol Stream, IL, and Carol Berthiaume and her husband Albert of Chicopee, her cherished grandchildren, Julie Piato, David Burke, Carrie Ohannes and Larry Ohannes and her cherished great grandsons, Nicolas and Joey. She was also predeceased by her dear brother, Aldo Belli and by her dear sister, Irma Ricci. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning October 15, 2004 at 8:45 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Spirit Chapel of St. Michael's Cathedral, 260 State Street in Springfield. Her burial will follow the Mass in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State Street in Springfield. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday October 14, 2004 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. For those who wish to make a donation, they may be made in Anita's memory to the American Heart Association, 1111 Elm Street, Suite 9A, West Springfield, MA 01089.
