Anna Marie Murdza

Anna M. (Lavriuk) Murdza 1923-2012 CHICOPEE - Anna M. Murdza, 88, formerly of 165 East Main St., Chicopee, died Friday, February 3, at Heritage Hall in Agawam. Born in Adeleide, PA on May 13, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Harabchik) Lavriuk. She lived in PA for 35 years before moving to Chicopee. Anna worked as a waitress at the former Woolworth store in Springfield and also worked at the former Sickles factory in Chicopee. Her first husband William E. Patterson died in 1958, she was also predeceased by her second husband Theodore Murdza  in 1990. She was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee. Anna was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She leaves her son, Kenneth L. Patterson, Sr. and his wife Darillyn of Southwick, one grandson Kenneth L. Patterson, Jr. of East Longmeadow, and one great grandson Adam Patterson of Wilbraham. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick, Wednesday, February 8, at 10am.
