Anna M. Watson

Anna Marie Anna M. Watson 1916 ~ 2008   Chicopee Falls- Anna Marie (Rice)  Watson 91, Ascended into the Journey of Everlasting Life, Saturday (Feb. 16th) from Wingate of South Hadley in the care and comfort of her loving family.She was the wife, for 41 years, of  the late , John J. Watson who predeceased her in 1979. Anna was born in Springfield, July 10, 1916, daughter of the late, James and Mary (Murphy) Rice, but was a resident of Chicopee Fall, over 70 years. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church, and a member of its' Rosary Society. Anna also belonged to the John Boyle O'Reilly Club, Springfield; and the Catholic Women's Club. She retired as receptionist from Falcetti Music Center, Indian Orchard, where she had worked for 20 years. Previously, Anna was an administrative assistant, employed by Springfield College. In addition to her parents, and husband,  she was predeceased by her  son in law, Edward F. Mannix in 1980, and a brother, Francis J "Bud" Rice. Anna is survived by her son, Jack Watson and Carolyn Wynne of North Andover, Ma. ; 3 daughters, Mary Ann Mannix, of South Hadley,  Joan Frances Watson and Carolyn Jeanne Watson, both of Chicopee ; 8 grandchildren, Edward F. Mannix III and his wife, Donna of New Paltz, N.Y., John J. Mannix of Chicopee, Elizabeth A. Ferrando and her husband, Robert of Palmer, Brian R. Mannix and Mary Dimouro, Ann Marie Cunningham and her husband Edward all of South Hadley, Jack Watson of Florida, Christopher Watson of North Andover, Ma., Alicia Faust and her husband, Michael of Clinton, Ct. ; 5 great grandchildren, Kevin, Justin, Denise, Mannix of New York, Martin Cunningham, and Haley Mannix both of South Hadley. Calling hours are Tuesday, (Feb.19th) 7:00-9:00 PM at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, ChicopeeFalls; and again on Wednesday morning  (Feb. 20th) from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.  Services will begin on Wednesday morning at 10:30  AM in the funeral home, to be followed by a procession to St. Patrick Church, 319 Broadway, ChicopeeFalls, for a Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated at  11: 30  AM. Burial will follow in St.PatrickCemetery, Fuller Road, ChicopeeFalls.
