Arleane M. Scott                                                            1917 ~ 2007   East Longmeadow- Arleane M. (Papanti) Scott, 90 years young, passed away on Saturday November 3, 2007 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Springfield, MA on July 17, 1917. Arleane graduated from the High School of Commerce, was the Manager of (Blairs) Putnam Card and Gift until her retirement at 72. She lived in Springfield most of her life and was active in Van Horn Park Sports with her children. After the death of her husband Leo, she moved to Chicopee. Arleane had a passion for reading and was a Boston Red Sox fan. She was the proud mother of 12 children. Arleane was predeceased by her husband Leo Scott; two sons, Gary Scott and Wayne "Box" Scott; and a grandson, Michael Scott. She is survived by her ten children, Carol Kulig of Sarasota, FL, Richard "Dick" Scott of Ludlow, MA, Neil Scott of Chicopee, MA, Ray "Razor" Scott of Chicopee, MA, Judie Seigiel of Chicopee, MA, Doreen Scott of Chicopee, MA, Leonard "Leo" Scott of Agawam, MA, Linda Cherevko of Wrightwood, CA and Chicopee, MA, Sandee Scott of Chicopee, MA, and Bill Scott of East Springfield, MA. Arleane also leaves 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will assemble on Tuesday November 6th beginning at 9:45 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee. Rites of Committal and burial will be private.
