Arlene D. Mcdonald

Arlene Doris (LaFountain) McDonald,94,of Chicopee, a sister, mother, aunt and grandmother, passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Oct 9 2016. Arlene was predeceased by her husband Howard (Mac) McDonald in 2007. She enjoyed creating Christmas villages, doing arts and crafts, loved to travel and was fond of shopping at Macy's. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee Falls. She is survived by her sister Shirley Owens, eight children; Marilyn Blanchard, Judith Carner and her husband James, Michael Murphy, Sharon Laird, Gary Geanacopoulos and his wife Jimmie Marie, Thomas Geanacopoulos and his wife Patt Gajda, Deborah Geanacopoulos and her partner Christopher Deady, Mark Geanacopoulos and his wife Patricia and three generations of grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Arlene was predeceased by her two sons- in- law Joseph Blanchard and Roger Laird. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday October 12, 2016 from 4pm -7pm at the Tylunas funeral Home, 159 Broadway Chicopee. Family has requested that burial be privately held.
