Barbara L. Giguere

Barbara L. Giguere 1934-2011 CHICOPEE- Barbara "Barb" L. (MacDonald) Giguere, 76, a longtime resident of Chicopee and formerly of Springfield, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 16, 2011 in Baystate Medical Center. Barb was born in Springfield on May 28, 1934, the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Marion (Dion) MacDonald. She enjoyed playing the organ and playing at Christmas for Falcetti Music at the Eastfield Mall. Barb also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making floral arrangements and cake decorating. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Kenneth MacDonald. Barb is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ernie O. Giguere; a son, Gary A. Giguere and his wife Diane; two daughters, Cheryl A. Denny and her husband John and Susan A. Chouinard and her husband Steve, all of Chicopee; a brother, Raymond MacDonald and his wife Ann of Westfield; five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at 9:30 a.m. in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee. Rites of Committal and burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St., Springfield. Barb's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Monday, March 21st from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
