Beverly Ann Lopuk 1935 - 2011 CHICOPEE - Beverly Ann Lopuk (Lesure) graduated into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Bev was born on 12/3/35, to her parents Ira and Fannie Lesure and was raised in West Springfield, graduating from West Springfield High School in 1954. She married Adams E. Lopuk, of Chicopee Falls, on 6/27/59, at the Alden Street Baptist Church, of Springfield and they resided in Chicopee Falls their entire married life. She is survived by Adams, her loving husband of 51 years. They had 5 children: Elizabeth Harmon and her husband, Jerry, of Manati, Puerto Rico; Karen Martin and her husband, Eric of East Springfield; Adam and his wife, Lisa of Broad Brook, CT; Angelique Lopuk, of Springfield and James, as well as his partner, Samantha Polnher, of Chicopee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nathaniel and Benjamin, of Manati; Anthony, Jeffrey and Stephania, of Springfield; Brian, Brandan and Allison, of Broad Brook and Marcus and Nevaeh, of Springfield. Her sole remaining sibling is Elizabeth Barentine, formerly of West Springfield, now residing in Illinois. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Helen Lesure, of East Longmeadow, Rose Hoyt of New Hampshire and Anna Lopuk, of Chicopee. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Ralph Lesure and Ira Lesure; as well as her brother-in-laws, William Barentine, Walter Lopuk and Gordon Hoyt; as well as her sister-in-law, Ida Lesure. Bev was a member of The First Central Baptist Church in Chicopee Falls. She was involved in the church's DVBS program and youth program and faithfully served in both the church's Sunday School program and choir, where for many years, she was an organist and pianist. She was also an active participant in the church's bowling league. In addition, her love of children saw her actively participate with Foster Children organizations. In her latter years she worked as a receptionist for Corex Products, formerly of East Springfield. A Memorial Service will be held in The First Central Baptist Church, 50 Broadway, Chicopee Falls, on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Bev's memory may be made to The First Central Baptist Church.
