Brenton D. Crozier

Brenton D. Crozier, 55, Chicopee, Master Sergeant, USMC Retired, passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2010 after a courageous battle against brain cancer.  He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on June 9, 1954.  Son of the late John R. and Elizabeth Crozier. He is survived by his wife and best friend Maureen (Marineau) Crozier; his children: Linda Thoreson of Nashua, NH, June Edmiston of Worcester, MA, and Brenton Crozier Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; his son-in-laws: Donald Thoreson and Jeff Edmiston; his brothers and sister-n-laws: George and Sandra Peal of Nashua, NH, Steve and Ruth Peal of Chelmsford, James and Mandy Crozier and Robert & Janet Crozier of Nova Scotia, Canada; his parents-in-law: George and Carolyn Marineau of Nashua, NH; his granddaughters: Tiffany & Lindsay Dolphin, Jaden Rountree, Heaven Thoreson, and Elise Crozier; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Edgar and Marcia Alleyne; his nieces and nephews: Michael, Nicole, Justin and Lauren Crozier,  and Alexander Alleyne; his Godchildren: Hayley and Cameron Davidson, and special lifelong friends: Raelene Liljeberg, Kenny Morris, Steve, Lisa and Rachel Holland, Jay Potter, Erik and Anna Marie Davidson, Bob and Linda Kudelka, Chris and Melissa McNally, and Greg Miller. He moved to the U.S. in the early 70's and became a U.S. Citizen in 1974 to serve in the United States Marine Corps. His vast and proud military service included the infantry, security forces, drill instructor and recruiting, serving in duty stations in the Philippines, and several bases in the U.S, including special operations in Norway and Puerto Rico. He retired in 1999 at the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring, he worked as a job coach for Riverside Industries and then went on to become a school bus driver for First Student in Chicopee. His wife and family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Life Care of Holyoke for all their wonderful care and compassion these past several weeks ensuring Brent's comfort. Calling hours will take place at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, MA on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Brent's name to Hospice Life Care, 113 Hampden St., Holyoke, MA 01040
