She was born on September 13, 1933 to Anthony & Olive Pimentel, and lived her life in Chicopee Falls. She married the love of her life, Sidney M. Merle (Skip) and dear sister-in-law Barbara Pimentel, sister Nancy and dear brother-in-law Robert Godbee, all of Ipswich, MA. She was pre-deceased by her brother-in-law and his wife, William and Marie Floyd, of Lake City, FL. In addition to being the most wonderful of wives and mothers, Carol was an extraordinary hostess and cook. Her pies, ribs, and meatballs were legendary. She and Sidney also shared their warm hearts and home with family, friends, new arrivals, and anyone who could use a friendly face and home cooked meal including many members of the Air Force and their families during the active years of Westover. Adding another five - or even more - places at the table was a regular occurrence. Carol was a near-lifetime member First Central Baptist Church in Chicopee, MA, where she shared her beautiful voice in the music program, her gifts of caring and comfort in ministering to others, and volunteered on many committees including her favorites hospitality and missions. Her salvation in Jesus and trust in God's grace brought her through many trials, including ongoing health problems over the past three years. She held Proverbs 3:5 close during this time: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
