Carol T. Labonte1947-2013CHICOPEE- Carol T. (Berrelli) Labonte, 65, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on October 9, 1947, a daughter of the late Rocco J. and Doris I. (Keogh) Berrelli. Carol graduated from The High School of Commerce, Springfield, and retired on January 4, 2013 after 26 years of dedicated service to the Chicopee School Department. She was previously employed at the Springfield Armory and the Springfield Armory Museum. Carol was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Chicopee. She was an active member of the Belcher School PTO and also served as a Noon Mother and Crossing Guard. Carol loved to attend her grandchildren's events and go on cruises. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Norman L. Labonte; two devoted children, Scott W. Labonte and his wife Melissa of Springfield, and Lisa M. Montero and her husband Robert of Chicopee; four cherished grandchildren, Carley, Daniella', Anthony, and Tyler; a brother, Donald Berrelli of West Springfield; a sister, Joyce Haire of Springfield; many nieces, nephews and close friends; and her faithful companion, Mandy. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, September 9th at 8:30 a.m. in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee. Rites of Committal and burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Carol's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Sunday, September 8th from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
