Caroline A Champagne

Caroline A. Champagne 1917-2005 SPRINGFIELD- Caroline "Carrie" A. Champagne, 88, passed away on Friday September 9, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was born May 3, 1917 in Turners Falls, MA the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Peskor, both of Poland. Carrie moved to Springfield after her marriage to her husband, H. Howard Champagne, who passed away in May 1974. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in East Springfield. She retired from W.T. Grants in 1982. Carrie leaves two sons; Ronald H. Champagne and his wife Aline of Ludlow, MA, and Alan F. Champagne and his wife Dorothy of Alpharetta, GA, two grandsons; David and Daniel Champagne, both of Alpharetta, GA, three granddaughters; Jamie Connell and her husband Bobby of Springfield, Lisa Nicoletti and her husband Nick and Lynn Sternowski and her husband Chris, both of Chicopee, three great-grandchildren; Tyler Sternowski and Jonathan and Julia Nicoletti, two brothers; John Piskor of Gill, MA and Peter Peskor of Turners Falls, MA, and a sister; Blanche Peskor of Turners Falls, MA. Besides her parents, Carrie was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Carrie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral services will begin on Monday September 12th at 8:30 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 840 Page Blvd, East Springfield, with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St. Chicopee. Carrie's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday September 11th from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carrie's memory to St. Joan of Arc/ St. George School, 587 Grattan St., Chicopee, MA 01020
