Cecilia M. (Ciosek) Haber 1919-2011 In Chicopee, Cecilia M. (Ciosek) Haber, 92, of 128 Sunnymeade Ave died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Holyoke Health Care Center. Born in Chicopee on May 19, 1919 she was the daughter of the late William and Victoria (Gniady) Ciosek. She lived in Chicopee for 85 years before moving to Landmark at Monastery Heights in W. Springfield where she resided for six years. She was a site leader for the nutrition program at the Valley Opportunity Council in Chicopee for 13 years. She was a girl scout leader and a member of both the American Legion Post 452 and the Polish American Veterans Club. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church in Chicopee and a member of its Rosary Society and Past President of the Children of Mary. She was the wife of the late Fred H. Haber who died in 1976 after 29 years of marriage. She leaves four daughters Ann Goucher and husband Pete of Washington, MA Teresa Gaze and husband Joseph of Jefferson, MA Judith Haber and husband Jack Leader of Newton, MA and Catherine Haber and husband Stephen Russell of South Hadley, MA, nine grandchildren Laura Morse, Angela Depalo, Eric Gaze, Yvonne Lensky, Cassandra Girard, Nathan Russell, Nicholas Leader, Anna Marie Russell, and Emma Leader, 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be held from the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway, Chicopee Tuesday at 9am with a liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church at 10am followed by a burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
