Christina J. Lawson                                                         1925-2009 CHICOPEE- Christina J. (Montos) Lawson, 84, a life long Chicopee resident, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at home. She was born in Chicopee, a daughter of the late James and Katherine (Nikitos) Montos. Christina was educated in Chicopee schools and retired as a Noon Mother from Anna E. Barry School in Chicopee after 40 years of service. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church Sts. Constantine & Helen, and a member of the Greek Ladies Philoptohas Society. Christina enjoyed traveling and bird watching. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Wilbur S. Lawson in 2000; and two brothers, Michael and Nicholas Montos. Christina is survived by four children, James F. Lawson and his wife Carol, Daniel A. Lawson, Sandra Lawson, all of Chicopee, and Catherine Donahue and her husband David of Granby; a sister, Bessie Labonte of Palmer; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Mark, Michael, Dylan, Danielle, and Devin; two great-grandchildren, Drew and Megan; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13th beginning at 10 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church Sts. Constantine & Helen, 30 Grattan St., with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Abbey Memorial Drive, all in Chicopee. Christina's family will receive relatives and friends at the visiting hours on Friday, June 12th (THIS EVENING) from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
