Christopher Scanlon

Christopher (Tipper) Gray Scanlon-On February 11, 2016 Christopher passed away in Springfield Massachusetts. Christopher G. Scanlon was born on August 13, 1981 (34) in Springfield Massachusetts to Maureen Scanlon (Gray) and Robert John Scanlon Sr. Chris was a beautiful soul with a large personality. He was always smiling and had the power to turn your day around. Chris was a graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School class of 2000 where he enjoyed playing for Minnechaug's Hockey team.  He was recently working as an Excavation Laborer. Chris loved New England sports and the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. He loved the outdoors and our beautiful New England weather often enjoying Cape Cod beaches, hiking and camping at Massachusetts State Parks with friends and loved ones. Chris loved his hound dogs- Seamus, Hunter and Duke they were a large part of his life and happiness. Chris was preceded in death by his loving parents,  father Robert John Scanlon Sr. and his mother Maureen Scanlon (Gray). Chris is survived by his brother Robert John (RJ) Scanlon Jr. of Marlborough Massachusetts and close friends who turned into family Linda, Raeha and Sammy Pierson of Springfield Massachusetts and the whole Pierson Family who loved Chris greatly. Chris touched many people's lives with his kindness and giving attitude and will be missed by many. Calling hours will be held on Monday February 22, 2016 from 4-7pm at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Shriners Hospital, Donations Department 516 Carew Street Springfield MA 01104.
