Claire L. Jette, 93, of East Main Street and formerly of Broadway Street in Chicopee entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Chicopee, M A. on August 26, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph Ovila and Azilda Hélène (Turgeon) Jette. Claire was a lifelong Chicopee resident, attending the former St. George School and Chicopee High School. Claire was a seamstress with Chicopee Undergarment over 40 years prior to her retirement. Family was Claire's life, her devotion to her siblings was foremost with her family. A devoted Catholic, she was a communicant of Mary Mother of Hope Church in East Springfield and was a longtime member of the former St. George's Church in Chicopee, where in her youth she was a member of the Children of Mary. She was predeceased by her siblings; Gerard, Leonard, Marcel, Therese Gibson, Marie Cecile Desforges, Arthur, Wilfrid and Henri Jette. She leaves many nieces and nephews including Linda Bruso of East Longmeadow, Ida Barla of Chicopee and Laura Masciadrelli of Westfield whom cared for Claire these past years, many great nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.
