Clara Mastronardi

Clara (Gould) Mastronardi, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025. She was a devoted and loving wife to Richard Mastronardi for 54 years.
Born in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, Canada on September 15, 1932, she was the daughter of William and Violet Gould. Clara was employed at Big Y as a cashier and florist for 38 years.
Clara enjoyed working in her garden, volunteering at the Chicopee Sportsmen’s Club, and visiting York, Maine. She will be remembered for her strong will, sense of humor, and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Mastronardi, brother Rennie and Donna Gould of Newfoundland, children Robert and Jeanne Strong of Granby, Marven Strong of Chicopee, and Stephen and Anna Mastronardi of Easthampton. Her adoring grandchildren Sarah and Gregory Dunn of South Hadley, Kerry Strong and Mike Phinney of Roslindale, Nicholas and Stella Mastronardi of Easthampton; and great grandchildren Amaya and Brady Dunn of South Hadley, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery at 1390 Main Street in Agawam on Friday, February 7, 2025, beginning promptly at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holyoke VNA & Hospice Life Care. The Tylunas Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
