Constance Bonafilia

Constance M. "Connie" Bonafilia, 93, of Chicopee passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 at her home surrouded by her loving family. Connie, as family and friends called her, was born in Augusta, Maine on May 24, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Yvonne (Bedard) Dostie and Perley Dostie. She grew up in Maine and relocated with her family to Holyoke. Connie and her husband Robert O. Bonafilia moved to Chicopee where they raised their family. Connie was a homemaker who loved tending to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Their home was the gathering place for the holidays for family and friends. She enjoyed crafting and studying history, especially the Civil war. She especially enjoyed baseball and her beloved Red Sox.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her beloved son, Roland R. Bonafilia as well as her brothers, Norman and Roland Dostie and a granddaughter, Jennifer Rozanski. She is survived by her three children; Carol Rozanski and her husband Joseph of Chicopee, Teresa Warner and her husband John of Venice, FL. and Barbara Bonafilia and her husband John of Chicopee; her daughter in law, Claudia Bonafilia (widow of Roland) of Chicopee; nine cherished grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law, Evelyn Cote of Ludlow in addition to many nieces and nephews.
THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS ON MONDAY, NOV. 1 2021 AT TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME, 159 BROADWAY ST., CHICOPEE FROM 8:30 a.m. TO 9:30 a.m. FOLLOWED BY A LITURGY OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL AT 10:00 A.M. AT MARY MOTHER OF HOPE CHURCH, 840 PAGE BLVD., SPFLD. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, South Hadley. (Cemetery is located off of Rt. 33, Memorial drive, Willimansett St. Ext., So.
