Constance Casineau

Constance C. Casineau 1931 - 2003 Chicopee - Constance Claire (Vigneault) (Jensen) Casineau passed away in Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam on Monday May 5.  She was born in 1931 in Claremont, N.H. and lived in Barre, Vt., Bath, Maine and Quincy, Mass.  She graduated from North Quincy H.S. in 1949.  She also lived in Springfield and Monson, Mass from 1959 - 1978.  She had numerous jobs in addition to being a wonderful at home Mom to her children Diane and Robert.  She was a teletype operator, florist, beloved Nanny to Keri, Daniel, and Michael Gallagher and Julia and Samantha Aronson-Fox.  She was an avid gardener and antique aficionado.  She was a longtime member of the Democratic National Committee and always voted faithfully in every election.  She loved to work in her yard and had an extraordinary talent for transforming tag sale items into treasures with paint and TLC.  She was a devoted grandmother to Jonah of Chicopee and Jessica and Rachel of Naples, Maine.  She was the life of the party and she would be found on a local dance floor every Friday and Saturday night.  She is predeceased by her mother Jeannette Vigneault of S. Weymouth, Mass., her father Joseph Rudolph Vigneault of Sanford, Maine and her sister Anne (Vigneault) Huber of Sydney, Australia.  She is survived by her sister Marijean Whittemore of Sanford, Maine, her beloved cousin Carol Dee Miller of Agawam, her daughter Diane Jensen of Chicopee, her son Robert R. Jensen Jr. and daughter-in-law Amy (Kahn) Jensen of Naples, Maine, grandson Jonah Grey Jensen and twin granddaughters Rachel Jeannette and Jessica Isabel.  A memorial service will be held Saturday May 17, at 10am in Assumption Church, 104 Springfield Street, Chicopee.  Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation or Hospice of Western Mass.  Tylunas Funeral Home of Chicopee is in charge of the arrangements.
