Corinne A. Fournier1924-2014CHICOPEE-Corinne "Connie" A. (Cartier) Fournier, 90, of 134 Lukasik St., Chicopee, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. She worked at Inland Express in Chicopee, Peter Pan Bus Lines, Oneida Motor Freight, Sitterly/Anderson & Benson in Springfield, and Partyka Resource Management in Chicopee before retiring. Connie was a Jr. Hostess at the U.S.O., belonged to the G.S.O. Glee Club, volunteered for the Mass. Association of the Blind, Heart Fund, Catholic Charities Appeal, was past vice president of the parish council of St. Anne's and past vice president of the Ladies Guild there for three years. She did volunteer work for the Taste of Chicopee, Kielbasa Festival and the Chicopee Centennial Celebration, was a member of St. Anne's Bell Choir, Council on Aging, AARP, Business & Professional Women's Club, Senior Class of Baystate Medical Center, was a volunteer for R.S.V.P., Senior volunteer for Chicopee District Court and Senior volunteer for Chicopee Soup Kitchen, Lector at St. Anne's and also Sr. Acolyte there. Born in Attleboro, MA she was a graduate of Holy Name High School majoring in business administration. Connie lived in Chicopee since 1927. Her former husband, Raymond G. Fournier predeceased her in 1992. Connie leaves one daughter, Leslie A. Cartier of Ipswich, MA; one son, James J. Fournier of Bushnell, FL; two sisters, Shirley Desmarias of West Springfield and Elsie Marchacos of Chicopee; three granddaughters, Kristyl Kelly, Kara Shaw, and Lyndy Fournier; a great granddaughter Brynn Kelly; and many good friends and dear relatives. There will be a mass at St. Anne's Church, Chicopee, at the family's convenience. There are no calling hours.
