Corinne Stephens 1921 - 2006   SPRINGFIELD- Corinne (Lajeunesse) Stephens, 85, a resident here for over 50 years was called safely home on Tuesday December 26, 2006 at her home. Corinne was born in Chicopee Falls on December 10, 1921 a daughter of the late Armas and Ursula (Laliberte) Lajeunesse. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Chicopee High School. Primarily a homemaker, Corinne was employed for a period of her life at American Bosch and Suburban Plastics. Corinne enjoyed gardening her flowers, knitting, watching her favorite soap operas and bargain shopping at area flea markets. Corinne was predeceased by her husband, Warren Stephens, whom she married at St. George's Church in 1945. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Edgar and Herman Lajeunesse and a sister, Viola Tighe. Corinne is survived by her devoted sister in law, Irene Lajeunesse of Springfield and several caring nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9 am from Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, MA 01020 followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. George Church, 7 Belcher Street. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
