Cynthia M. Fontaine

Cynthia M. Fontaine of Chicopee, age 59, passed away unexpectedly August 23, 2024. Born in Hartford, CT on January 13, 1965, she was a daughter of her late father Harold Fay and her mother Marie (Basara) Guilmette. Cindy worked for many years as a CNA at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, and she was incredibly dedicated to her veterans. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren and family. Cindy will be missed for her infectious laugh, her humor and bubbly personality, and for the selfless generosity of her time and energy. Cindy is predeceased by her father Harold, her brothers Junior Fay and David Fay, and her sister Theresa King. She is survived by her mother Marie Guilmette, her son Kyle Fontaine, daughter Charlette Fontaine and son Taylor Fontaine, her sisters Cheryl Truhart and Karen Fay, her brother Donald Fay, and her beloved grandchildren Jayaun Parker, Amarah Vasquez, and Dominik Fontaine. Visiting hours will be held Friday, August 30, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Tylunas Funeral Home at 159 Broadway Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. There will be a Funeral Home Service at 1:30 and inurnment to follow at Saint Rose de Lima Cemetery at 58 Christopher Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
