Daniel Chouinard

Daniel C. Chouinard, 64, a lifelong resident of Chicopee passed away Monday at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.  Born September 18, 1941 in Springfield to the late Louis and Dolores (LaFond) Chouinard, he was a graduate of the Chicopee Trade High School.  Daniel worked for 15 years as the manager of the body shop at Menard and Holmberg.  Mr. Chouinard leaves his devoted wife of 38 years, Gail (McDonald) Chouinard, his loving children, Ricky Chouinard of Ludlow, Jennifer Chouinard of Somerville, MA, and Danielle Chouinard of Chicopee.  Daniel also leaves his beloved siblings, Phyllis Chouinard and Anita Jurkowski, both of Chicopee, two grandchildren, Michael and Brittany Blair,  and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his son, Tony Chouinard, his brother, Jean Paul Chouinard, and sisters, Annette Kratovil and Dolores Pouliout.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7p.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, with the services to begin Thursday at 7p.m.  The burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Donations in memory of Daniel may be made to either the M.S.P.C.A, 171 Union St. Springfield MA 01108, or the Jimmy Fund Dana Faber's Tribute Program, 1309 Beacon St. Brookline MA 02446.
