David W. Pierson1964-2015Springfield- David W. Pierson, 50, of Springfield passed away, Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield on June 22, 1964, he was a son of the late William R. and Lillias M. (Robertson) Pierson. David attended Putnam Trade School and worked as a supervisor for Duc-Pac Corp. for 20 years and most recently worked as an independent landscaper. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing. David also enjoyed playing softball with his brothers when he was younger. Overall, he loved being called "Uncle Dave". David leaves his former wife, Pamela (Lemke) Pierson; his loving daughter, Danielle Pierson; his seven siblings, Bill Jones and his wife Debra of Haleyville, AL, Gregg A. Pierson and his wife Tammy of Agawam, Linda A. Pierson of Springfield, Jimmy S. Pierson and his wife Lynn of Chicopee, Bob S. Pierson and his wife Tina of West Palm Beach, FL, Stuart A. Pierson (Tammy) of West Springfield, and Kerry Sears (Sam) of San Diego, CA; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; his step-mother, Corinne Pierson; special family friend, Kevin "Odie" O'Donnell; and many close friends. Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Bill Spano. David has touched so many hearts and will be greatly missed by all that loved him. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Baystate Medical Center, the Springfield Police Department, and Springfield EMT for their care and support through this difficult time. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 3-7pm at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. All funeral services will be held private and at the convenience of the family.
