Denise Janice Uhl 1960 - 2009 Chicopee - Denise Janice (Hebert) Uhl, 48, of Chicopee was called safely home with our Lord with the comfort of Family and Friends on Sunday, July 12, 2009. She was previously employed by Kelco Credit Union and recently Premier Source Credit Union with Bonnie and Linda and other dear friends as a bookkeeper and teller. She was born in Milford, DE on October 20, 1960; she is the beloved daughter of the late Laurent & Janice Hebert. She enjoyed the ocean, animals and nature. She loved to ride her bike everywhere she went, including to and from work. She loved crafts and spent a significant amount of time volunteering for different cancer activities, including as the Survivor Recruiter and Chairperson for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She was a faithful member and Lector at Saint Patrick's Church in Chicopee. She was an avid member of the Scrabble Club of Chicopee. She leaves her loving husband David, of 28 years and two adorable cats. She also leaves her loving family, Vincent Hebert and wife Jackie of Southwick, Gwen Strange and husband Tom of Chicopee, Diane Hebert and partner Mike Quadrozzi of Chicopee, Donna LaFrance and husband Kevin of Southwick, Michael Brodeur and wife Carolyn of Virginia, Alice Roy and husband Joe of Easthampton, Jeannine Kwatowski and husband Mel of Ludlow, Raymond Brodeur and wife Kim of Connecticut. Her cherished nieces and nephews; Melissa Hebert, Paul Strange, Mark Matthews, Nicole Strange, Dustin Hebert, Alexander Brodeur, Kyle LaFrance, Mason Hebert, Kodie LaFrance, Stephanie Hebert, Paige Roy, Kyla Roy. And her beloved Mother-in-law Mrs. Eugene Uhl of Westfield, her sisters-in law Nancy Uhl of Westfield and Sharon Uhl of West Springfield and her brother-in Lawrence Uhl of Holyoke. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 7/15 from 4 to 8 PM at Tylunas Funeral Home at 159 Broadway, Chicopee, MA.. Funeral services will begin at Tylunas Funeral Home at 8:45 AM on Thursday, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Patrick's Church, 319 Broadway Street, Chicopee, with Rites of Committal in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., Chicopee.
