Dennis Cote 1941-2005 Chicopee- Dennis Cote, 63, of the Fairview section, beloved husband of Elfriede (Denker) Cote, died Saturday at his home. Born in Drummond Ville, Canada, he was a son of the late Cajetan and Yvonne (St.Martin) Cote and had been a graduate of Chicopee Vocational School. He had been a prior resident of Chicopee Falls, before moving to Fairview in 1974. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Church, a former member of Chicopee's Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Springfield Turnverein also known as the "German Club", Feeding Hills. He had been employed as a machinist for Springfield Mold Works, Westfield, and also Jahn Foundry, Springfield. Besides his wife of 36 years, Dennis is survived by a son Scott M. Cote of Fairview, a daughter Joann L. Cote of Springfield, her fiancé Michael R. McCallum also of Springfield, 3 brothers Harvey Cote of Canada, Gilles Cote and his wife Lynn also of Canada, Remi Cote and his wife Colleen of Ludlow. He was "Papa Cote" to his grandchildren Casey Rafferty ,Destiny McCallum and soon to be "Papa Cote" to Aaliyah McCallum. Funeral services will be held on Friday 9:00 A.M. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Anne's Church, 756 Memorial Drive, Chicopee. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran's Cemetery, Agawam. Calling hours will take place at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
