Desiree L. Santos

Desiree L. Santos passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, at Tampa General Hospital in Florida.
Born August 14, 1966, in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, Desiree (also called Dee or Dez by her family and friends) graduated from Chicopee High School and Holyoke Community College. After many years in the hospitality industry, Desiree enjoyed her winter months in Florida, loving the warmer climate and the sunshine.
She loved reading and utilizing her Kindle, taking daily walks, enjoying memberships at health clubs and her lifelong love for her furry canine companions.
She is predeceased by her adoring father, Louis Santos III, her beloved sister Deborah L. Santos-Dempsey, her dear “Unk” William (Bill) N. Foskitt, her late aunt K. Marion Steigleder and her husband Fred Steigleder. She is survived by her loving mother Elizabeth M. (Betty) Santos (Foskitt) of Chicopee, her nephew, Matthew L Santos-Vitorino of Miami, FL, her niece and godchild Shauna E. (Santos) New and husband William of the United Kingdom, her dear aunt Barbara J. Foskitt, her brother-in-law Chris E. Dempsey, and her beloved godchild, Caitlen N. Lak. She also leaves many cousins, friends, and extended family.
Desiree sorrowfully leaves behind her longtime partner, William F. (Bill) Kozak of Tampa, and her beloved goldendoodle, Maximilian (Max).

CALLING HOURS WILL BE HELD FROM 10:00 TO 11:30 ON TUESDAY APRIL 23, 2024, AT TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME 159 BROADWAY STREET, CHICOPEE, MA 01020 WITH A PRAYER SERVICE AT 11:30. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL FOLLOW AT ST. PATRICK’S CEMETERY, FULLER ROAD, CHICOPEE, MA.
