Diane Marie Powers

Diane Marie Powers, 72, of New Ludlow Rd. in Chicopee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at BSMC in Springfield after a brief illness. Diane was born in Long Beach, CA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Vivian (Denette) Powers. She grew up in Springfield and Enfield, attending local schools and graduated from Enfield High School in 1968. Diane worked as an Executive Secretary for Mass Mutual over 30 years before her retirement in 2012. Diane was a devoted Catholic and communicant of St. Anne's RC Church in Fairview where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved playing Bingo with her many friends.


In addition to her parents, Tom and Vivian, Diane was predeceased by her longtime companion, Patrick Murphy in 2021 and a nephew, Thomas. Diane leaves her brother and sister in law; Kevin Powers and his wife Jill of NY and their children; Ashley and Benjamin and three great nieces and nephews; Kaydence, Landon, and Addyson.

AT ST. ANNE CHURCH, 30 COLLEGE ST., WITH RITES OF COMMITTAL AND BURIAL TO FOLLOW IN ST. ROSE DE LIMA CEMETERY, 49 OLSEN ST., ALL IN CHICOPEE.
