Donald L. Cote1943-2015CHICOPEE- Donald 'Donnie' L. Cote, 71, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at home. He was born in Springfield on November 20, 1943 a son of the late Emile and Agnes (Melcher) Cote. Donnie was a U.S. Army Vietnam Conflict veteran obtaining the rank of Private First Class. He was a truck driver for the City of Springfield and retired in December 2003. Donnie was a communicant of the former St. George Church, Chicopee. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth A. (Lamboussey) Cote; three brothers, Emile Cote of Springfield, Arthur Cote of South Carolina, and Louis Cote of Maine; four sisters, Eleanor Hamel of Agawam, Eileen Tucker of Springfield, Jacqueline Kutler of Colorado, and Rose Cote of Florida; a sister and brother in law, Kathy and Dan Sayers and their son Peter, all of Pittsfield; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Pedro. Besides his parents, Donnie was predeceased by a sister, Agnes Hebert. Relatives and friends are invited to the visiting hours on Thursday, July 9th from 4-7 PM at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St. Chicopee. Rites of Committal and burial will be held on Monday, July 13th at 11:30 AM in Oak Grove Cemetery, St. George Section, 426 Bay St. , Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donnie's memory to the William F. Davitt VFW Post 625, 374 Front St. Chicopee, MA 01013.
