Dorilla L. "Dill" Theriault

Dorilla L. Theriault, 97, of Chicopee passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 in South Hadley. "Dill", as family and friends call her, was born on September 21, 1923 in Chicopee Falls, a daughter of the late Henry M. & Anna (Melancon) Blanchard.  Dorilla grew up in the Chicopee, attending local schools including the former St. George School. She worked for the Chicopee Manufacturing Company for many years before retiring. Dorilla was a lifelong communicant of the former St. George's Church in Chicopee and resided in Chicopee all her life. Dorilla was predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate, Ernest R. Theriault, who passed away on April 23, 2003. They were married at St. George's church and were blessed with over 56 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving children; Paul Theriault (Andrea) and Diane Landry all of Chicopee. Three cherished grandchildren; Joseph (Shawn), Gregory (Debra) and Mark (Nicole) and three great-grandchildren; Abrielle, Seth and Austin and the extended members of the Theriault and Blanchard families. Dorilla was predeceased by all her siblings and her son in law, Gerald D. Landry.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rose de Lima Church, Grattan St., Chicopee. Burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St., Chicopee.
