Dorothy M. Delude Badger

Dorothy M. Delude Badger 1917-2013 Chicopee- Dorothy M. (Hadley) Delude Badger, 96, of Southampton, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Willimansett East Nursing Home. She was born in Holyoke on April 28, 1917 to the late Herbert H. and Lita M. (Riendeau) Hadley. Dorothy was a 1935 graduate of Chicopee High School and worked for Chicopee Undergarment, Uniroyal, and Curtiss Business, retiring in 1979. She loved sewing and crocheting. Dorothy especially loved knitting three mittens for her grandchildren; the third because she knew they would lose one. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.  Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband Theodore J. Delude, her second husband George E. Badger, and by her 6 siblings. She leaves her two daughters, Theresa M. Peloquin and Dorothy A. Gauvin, both of Southampton; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10am at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Patrick's Church, Broadway. Rites of Committal will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Road, all in Chicopee. Calling hours will be held prior to services from 9-10am.
