Dorothy Jeanne Guy

Chicopee – Dorothy “Dot” Jeanne (Broughear) Guy, 89 of Chicopee, MA passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born on September 2, 1935, in Chicopee, the daughter of the late John Broughear and Josephine A. Turgeon. Dot graduated from Chicopee High School class of 1953 and was employed as a page counter at National Blank Book for 27 years until she retired in 1996; and was later employed by Valley Opportunity Council as a Sr. Companion. She was a member of St. Rose De Lima Church in Chicopee. In her free time, she enjoyed paint by numbers, crocheting, bingo with her friends in the community room and was all around happy person. Predeceased by her parents and sons Daniel and Raymond Guy and a brother Kenneth Broughear. She is survived by a son Edward Guy (Deborah) of West Springfield; daughter Karen Fox (Donald) of Chicopee; four grandchildren: Krysta, Hoyt, Jason, Sara; six great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Deborah Broughear of Jonesboro, GA. In lieu of flowers please make a charitable contribution in Dot’s name to the American Cancer Society. A graveside side service will be held in the Spring.
