Duane Renaldi

Duane Renaldi Jr. 59 passed entered into enteral rest at the Mercy Medical Center on Tuesday October 18, 2016. Duane was born on September 23, 1957 in Leominster to loving parents Duane Sr. and Carol (Goodchild) Renaldi. He was a happy, outgoing person despite his physical disabilities. Duane had many friends that loved and watched over him and helped him; especially the Moose Lodge # 1849 in Chicopee where they treated him like royalty, The Tigers AC and Eagles Club where they hosted many fundraisers for him. Duane showed everyone love and if you knew this hero you would have loved him. He attended Crotched Mountain School for the deaf in NH, was a member of United Cerebral Palsy sport team where he won many awards all over the country. Duane is survived by his parents, brothers; Vincent of Bowdon, GA, Larry and his wife Marilyn of Shannon, NC, sisters; Gina Renaldi and her fiancé John Lesson of Easthampton, MA sister ;Nancy Theriault of Agawam; 14 nieces and nephews including Maria Renaldi who was his personal care attendant and friend; 17 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Dennis Renaldi and his wife Patsy, maternal grandmother Mary Langlois of Fitchburg who lovingly greeted him in heaven. Friends are invited to meet Duane's family on Tuesday October 25 from 4pm to 8pm at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. On Wednesday October 26 a Celebration of Duane's life will begin at 11:30 AM in the Chapel at the Tylunas Funeral Home.  A funeral procession with a Motorcycle escort will begin at 12:30 pm to the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Duane's family would like to thank the tremendous amount of people who are too numerous to mention who went out of their way to physically and emotionally help him live a happy life; especially the staff at the Western Massachusetts Hospital that made him feel happy and at home for the four years he was there; they loved him as he did them; the staff at Mercy ICU who were exceptionally good to him.
