Dwayne Alexander Jackson

Dwayne Alexander Jackson 54, of Chicopee, MA went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2017 at 10:10 a.m., after a long battle of health issues. He was born in Dover, Delaware on January 29, 1963 but lived in Chicopee/Springfield most of his life. Graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive in 1981. He worked as a factory worker but his love was scrap metaling. He lived at Heritage Hall East for three and a half years, where he grew to love the people and cared for them. He was involved with the many activities there and became their caller for bingo. After moving out for only a month, he went back numerous times to call bingo and stay connected with his friends. Dwayne is survived by his mom, Elizabeth of Chicopee, his aunt Jacqueline Tisdale of Chicopee, two sons Daniel of Holyoke and Timothy of Palmer, four brothers, Joseph of Arizona, Michael Heckstall of Chicopee, Christopher of Palmer, Jonathan of W. Palm Beach, FL, three sisters, Melissa of Natick, MA, Veronica Garvin of Springfield, and Latia Diaz of W. Palm Beach, FL. Two grandsons Jase and Jacobe and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father Ashton and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Ham and Mr. & Mrs. Caroll Jackson. Dwayne was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all. Services for Dwayne will be Saturday, April 22 at 10am at First Central Bible Church at 50 Broadway Street, Chicopee MA 01020 with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Dwayne's name can be made to First Central Bible Church. Services have been entrusted to Tylunas Funeral Home.
