Edna Jane Allen

Edna Allen 1924-2006 CHICOPEE- Edna J.  (Bascom) Allen, 81, passes away on Saturday April 1, 2006 at Heritage Hall West, Agawam. She was born on April 30, 1924 living as a youth in Longmeadow, subsequently moving to Springfield. Edna has resided in Chicopee all of her married life of 58 years. Edna was an active member of East Congregational Church for more than 50 years. She also enjoyed her work as a Customer Service Representative at Dow Jones for 18 years and continued her friendships by participating in the Dow Jones Retirement Group meeting once a month for dinner. Edna leaves her husband of 58 years, Gilbert H. Allen, her three children, Janice and her husband, Raymond Ewing, John and his wife, Barbara and Judith and her husband, Neal Lefebvre. Edna leaves her six grandchildren, Carri and Gregg Ewing, Catherine and Christie Allen, and Amanda and Brittany Lefebvre. Edna also leaves her aunt and uncle Dorothy and Juan Pascoe, her cousin, Kathy Kavanaugh, her sister in law, Shirley Bascom, her niece, Darlene Jeffords and nephew, David Bascom. She was predeceased by her brother, Chester Bascom. Services are private. There are no calling hours.
