IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edna M
Lehouillier
February 21, 1940 – February 26, 2026
Edna Lehouillier, 86, formerly of Chicopee, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter and memories. Born in Holyoke she was the daughter of Antonio Lopes and Mary (Ciemniewska) Lopes. Edna was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary High School and a faithful parishioner of St George Church and later St. Rose de Lima Church. Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Armand. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. Affectionately known as "Babe", Edna was the proud and loving mother of: Richard Lehouillier (Patricia); Thomas Lehouillier ; JoAnn Self (Edward); Sharon Thompson (Scott); and Laurie Gelinas (Marc). She also leaves seven cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense pride and happiness to her life. Edna was the definition of strong and resilient. She worked hard her entire life, never complained, and somehow always kept everything - and everyone - moving forward. Edna embraced life's simple pleasures. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed puttering in her yard, and never passed up a good shopping trip. She cheered faithfully for the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots with unwavering loyalty-through wins, losses, and referees she didn't agree with. Above all, Edna's heart belonged to her family. Time spent together-whether around the kitchen table, at family gatherings, or simply sharing stories-was what she treasured most. Her love, strength, and steady presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Calling hours for Edna will be held at Tylunas Funeral Home on Monday, March 16th at 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service beginning at 12:15 P.M. A private graveside service will follow for family at Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery.
