Edward V. Jez

Edward V. Jez 1922 - 2007   CHICOPEE---Edward V. Jez, 84, of 64 Woodcrest Drive, died Monday in Bay State Medical Center, Springfield.  Born & educated in Chicopee, Edward was a life long resident here. Edward was a quality control inspector for Savage Arms Co. of Westfield, retiring in 1983 after 41 years with the company.  He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII, and a communicant of the Basilica of St. Stanislaus. He was a former member of the Chicopee Lodge of Elks, and avid Polka dancer.  Edward is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Josephine M. Bengiovanni, a daughter, Linda Stec of Chicopee, and three grandchildren, Edward Stec and his wife Elaine of Westborough, MA, David Stec of Worcester, MA, and Karen Stec of Chicopee, and two great granddaughters, Sara & Clara Stec. Funeral services are Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at 10 am from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, followed by a mass in the Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St., Chicopee at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  A visiting hour will be held Thursday morning from 9-10 am at the funeral home prior to the mass.
