Edward Charles Morin

Edward C. Morin1927-2015CHICOPEE- Edward, also affectionately known as Charlie by family and friends, (and lovingly as "Pepe" by his grandchildren) 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. He was born in Springfield on November 30, 1927, a son of the late Charles and Rita (Desilets) Morin. Charlie was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran obtaining the rank of Seaman Second Class and received the WWII Victory Medal. He retired in 1990 from E.A. Gralia Construction Company in East Longmeadow. Charlie was a member of the American Legion Post 275 in Chicopee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and traveling but received the most enjoyment when he was spending time with his wife Theresa and his sons and grandchildren. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Theresa M. (Sarrasin) Morin; Four sons, David C. Morin and his wife Virginia of Irving, TX, Richard E. Morin and his wife Jeanne of Chicopee, Ronald P. Morin of Hawaii, and Daniel Morin and his wife Rene of Oregon; five grandchildren, Tanya Compagnone, Matthew Szadek, Thomas, Brittany and Annabelle Morin; one great-grandchild, Aiden Morin; three brothers, Fremont Morin of Chicopee, Thomas Morin of Holyoke, and Jerome Morin of Springfield; two sisters, Elise Pion of Chicopee,  and Stella Presnall of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews and close friends.  Charlie/Pepe will leave a hole in the lives of all those related to him or knew him as a friend.  We will all miss you Dad, Brother, "Pepe", Godfather, and Friend to us all. Rites of Committal will be held on Monday, August 24th at 10 AM in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St. Agawam. There are no visiting hours.
