Elaine Flora Gauthier

CHICOPEE-Elaine F. (Perreault) Gauthier, 86, formerly of Frontenac St. in Chicopee Falls quietly entered into Eternal life on Sunday January 14, 2018 at Chicopee Gardens.  Elaine or "Peewee" as her family called her was born on July 30, 1931 in Chicopee Falls, the daughter of the late Cleophas & Rose (Landry) Perreault. She was a longtime Chicopee resident and had also lived in East Longmeadow for 25 years. She was educated in Chicopee schools including St. George School and she graduated from Chicopee High School with the Class of 1949. She was a devoted communicant of the former St. George Church in Chicopee. Elaine worked alongside her husband at Gauthier Heating and Air Conditioning, a family owned company, and was the Secretary and Bookkeeper over 20 years before she retired in 1985. She leaves her children, Ronald Gauthier of Springfield, Richard Gauthier and his wife Sally of The Villages, FL and Sandra DeGray of Chicopee, and her two grandchildren, Megan and Rebecca of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves her siblings; Richard Perreault of Ludlow and Jeannette Crawford of Holyoke and numerous nieces and nephews. Her former husband, Edmond Gauthier passed away in 2002. Her siblings; Robert, Edward and Donald Perreault, Shirley Lamb and Doris Shevlin predeceased her. Calling hours at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee will be Sunday afternoon, January 21, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Religious service for Elaine will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard, Ma. 01151.
