Eleanor Kapinos

Eleanor Ruth (Bulecza) Kapinos, 83, of Chicopee passed into enteral rest on December 25 at Heritage Hall East with her family by her side. She was born to Stephen and Rosalie (Medrek) Bulecza on September 16, 1932 in Springfield, MA. Ellie as she was affectionately known, was a graduated of Chicopee High School with the class of 1950. Upon graduation she attended Holyoke Community College. Ellie worked for Holyoke Wire and Cloth Company for 12 years and Marcus Printing Company as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1995. She was married to the late John Kapinos whom passed in December of 2003. Ellie loved arts and crafts and spending time with her family. She adored every moment she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellie leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Linda and her husband Michael Courtney of Springfield, Lori and her husband Steven Paolucci of Agawam; two sons, Alan Kapinos and his wife Nancy of Maryland, Glenn Kapinos and his dear friend Kim of Chicopee; her brother Stephen Bulecza Jr. and his wife Cecelia of Florida, Eight Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance on Tuesday, December 29 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Tylunas Funeral Home at 159 Broadway in Chicopee. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 30 at St. Rose De Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee at 11 am, followed by burial at the Massachusetts Veteran's Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers donations in Ellie's name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
