Eleanor T. Porter 1930-2005 Chicopee - Eleanor T. "Ellie" (Gingras) Porter, 74, ascended into the journey of everlasting life on Sunday, April 10th, 2005 at Baystate Medical Center. She was last employed as a machine operator for Oxford Precision, West Springfield. Born in Springfield, she had been a resident of Doverbrook Estates, Chicopee for the last 11 years. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved parents Horace and Margaret T. (Courtney) Gingras, a precious son John Lyndon Porter, and three dear brothers Arthur, Daniel, and Leon. Eleanor is survived by: 2 devoted sons, David H. Porter Sr., and his wife Linda, and Glenn E. Porter, of Ludlow, a devoted daughter Barbara Ganieany and her husband Victor of Three Rivers, a dear brother, Horace Gingras of Melbourne, Florida, 2 dear sisters, Barbara Gajewski of South Hadley, Mary Tuerck of Wisconsin, 7 cherished grandchildren, 6 adored great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:00 A.M. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial, celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Anne's Church, 30 Collage St., Chicopee. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours at the funeral home will take place on Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
