Elizabeth Ann O'Connor

Elizabeth Ann O’Connor (Betty) passed away November 12, 2024, in Wilbraham surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 19,1940, to the late Frances Cecilia Gallagher and Joseph Walter. She was raised in the Boston area, providing her with the best Bostonian accent, and then moved to Chicopee at the age of 21. She was employed for many years as a secretary at Springfield Technical Community College. Betty loved with her whole heart and judged no one. She had a great sense of humor, and she often laughed at herself. She made people feel at home and she made them feel good about themselves. Betty was predeceased by her only son, Michael, as well as two brothers and two sisters, Joseph, Mary, Dorothy, and David. She is survived by three daughters, Karen and her husband Robert Methe, Dianne and her husband Marc O’Connor, and Lisa and her husband Dave Brodeur. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Kristin, Frank, Erin, Katie, Reesha, Sarah, Monica, John, Kelsey, and Brandon. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Parker, Emma, Elias, Kensington, Adrian, Amira, Sarina, Emmett, Carson, and Nora. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM at the Tylunas Funeral Home at 159 Broadway Street, Chicopee, MA, with a Funeral Home Service beginning at 6:30 PM. We want to especially thank the staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for the exemplary, loving, and passionate care she received while she lived there.
