Elizabeth Rose Tergliafera

CHICOPEE-Elizabeth (Betty) Tergliafera was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Cassidy of Ireland. Betty was born in Ireland but resided for over 60 years in Chicopee MA. For the past five years she was a resident of Sixteen Acres Healthcare, Springfield MA and cared for by dedicated and caring staff who made her final years both comfortable and enjoyable. Betty was employed by Milton Bradley as an assembled and at Mercy Hospital. She was preceded by death by her loving husband, Louis R. Tergliafera Sr., her sisters Irene and Peggy and her brother James. She is survived by one son, Louis R. Tergliafera Jr. and his wife Jeannette of Newport, VT and her daughter, Diane Tergliafera of Chicopee and her significant other Don Antaya of West Townsend, VT. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, two grandchildren Jennifer and Robert and one "grand kitty" Lucy. She also leaves Cynthia Biernacki of Chicopee who she considered as another daughter. The family held a private graveside service on Thursday April 23, 2020 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd. Springfield with Fr. Michael Twohig, celebrant.
