Ella Mae Brill

Ella M. Brill 1912-2004 Charlestown, SC-Ella Mae Brill 92 died after a long illness in Charlestown, SC on Tuesday May 11th. She was born in West Springfield to the late George T. and Florence G. (Brooks) Chestnut. Ella was the widow of Owen H. Brill who died in 1981.  Prior to her retirement in 1978 she taught ceramics and owned Ella's Ceramics in Chicopee. Ella was the beloved aunt of Doreen Fontaine and her husband Stanley Kusiak of Longmeadow, Bridget Wood and her husband Curtis of Westfield and Noiel Brill and his wife Patricia of Chicopee and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a sister-in-law Jewell Chestnut of Orlando, FL, four brothers-in laws John O'Brien of Charlestown, SC, Harold, William and Edward O'Brien all of Springfield. The family will receive friends Friday May 14th in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Forestdale Cemetery, 304 Cabot St., Holyoke.
